Progress is Perfection
My career mission is to serve as a channel of hope to individuals as they engage in their therapeutic journey. The treatment I offer is flexible, creative, and individualized. I provide a secure, healthy, and safe space free of judgment for patients to gain insight and develop a path towards personal and emotional growth. I am not afraid to work outside the box and explore patient centered solutions on a case by case basis.
I work with a wide range of patients and their families living with both mental health and substance use disorders including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship discord, alcohol and drug abuse, and other life stressors. I use a holistic approach in my practice consisting of elements of Behavioral, Cognitive, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness, Family Systems, Psychoanalytic, and Psychodynamic theories.
Prior to opening my private practice in 2015, I was a senior clinician at Inter-Care, an outpatient substance abuse treatment program for over 10 years where I supervised interns, provided psycho-education workshops and taught Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), for 2 years. I became a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in 2010.
I obtained a MA degree in Social Work from Fordham Graduate School of Social Service in 2015 and my BA from the University of Michigan in 2000. I became a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in 2018.
